Lindsay Lohan appear in criminal court in New York, USA, to determine whether a prosecutor plans to initiate a case against him for his alleged role in a fight at a nightclub in Manhattan, United States.
Lohan was charged with a minor assault after allegedly hitting a woman in the early hours of November 29, 2012.
She is accused of hitting Tiffany Mitchell, 28, of Palm Beach, Florida, United States, in the trendy club Avenue Lounge in the Chelsea district of Manhattan.
It is the latest legal problem for the actress, 26, whose battle with drugs and alcohol has been in and out of court 19 times and five rehabilitation centers since 2007.
The New York attorney for Lohan, Mark Heller, told CNN in November: "Once again, Lindsay Lohan is a victim of someone trying to have their 15 minutes of fame."
"From my initial research, I am quite sure that this case will be concluded favorably and that Lindsay will be completely exonerated," Heller said of the incident in New York.
The case of New York presents a week before the actress is scheduled to appear at a hearing on probation violation on Jan. 15 in California, United States.
Lohan had probation for a conviction in 2011 on charges of stealing a necklace, but that probation was jeopardized in November 2012 when the city attorney in Santa Monica, California, filed four charges against him in connection with a car accident last summer.
In the case of Santa Monica, Lohan is accused of giving false information to police, obstruction and resisting a police officer carrying out his work and for driving dangerously, according to the office of city attorney.
The charges, all misdemeanors, stemming from a car accident while Lohan was on her way to the set of Liz & Dick, a Lifetime movie that difunfió last year.
